President of Yoga Society

Over one year, I led the Bath Spa University Yoga Society as its sole President, modernising its Instagram with a refreshed visual identity and logo. Through consistent content creation and community building, I grew the following from 600 to 900 (51%), boosted event turnout, and re-established the society as a vibrant campus community. I oversaw all operations, from branding and marketing to events, social media, and finances.

My contributions included:

  • Brand Refresh & Visual Identity – Updated the society’s branding, including a refreshed logo and consistent visuals across all platforms.
  • Social Media Management – Created and scheduled content, introduced new formats, and fostered community engagement.
  • Marketing & Promotion – Built campaigns for yoga classes, events, and workshops that brought in new members.
  • Event Organisation – Coordinated sessions and workshops so people actually showed up, and came back.
  • Finance Management – Kept the budget balanced so events stayed affordable and sustainable.

Outcome:
Through consistent content creation and community building, I grew the society’s Instagram following by 51% in one year, increased event turnout, and re-established the society as a vibrant community space on campus.

This role sharpened my leadership, organisation, and marketing skills, while giving me hands-on experience in community building and brand management (with plenty of trial, error, and yoga mats along the way).

Here’s the refreshed logo for the BSU Yoga Society: we’ve moved away from the messy, orange tones of the original and embraced a cleaner, more minimalist design. It still reflects the society’s spirit, now with a calm, balanced aesthetic that feels much more aligned with the practice of yoga.

Alongside the logo refresh, I updated the BSU Yoga Society’s posts. The new minimal design gave the content space to stand out, and I added posts with yoga tips and advice, highlighting the benefits of practice. This approach felt more authentic and engaging, and it paid off, posts saw noticeably higher engagement.
