I finished a Data Science Internship at Share & Repair in Bath. My role involved transforming raw, often fragmented data into clear insights that could be used by both the team and external stakeholders.
My contributions include:
- Data Collection & Analysis – Gather data, clean it up in Python and microsoft sheets, and turn it into clear and actionable insights (instead of just messy tables).
- Qualitative Research – Engaging with participants at workshops, conducting interviews, and observe how people actually behave, because numbers don’t always tell the full story.
- Mixed-Methods Approach – Combining numerical analysis with qualitative feedback to produce an organic understanding of trends and community needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Help run workshops and share findings in a way that makes sense to both participants and the team.
- Technology & Workflow Efficiency – Use digital tools and scripts to make data collection and reporting less painful and more efficient.
This internship strengthened my analytical and interpersonal skills while allowing me to use data to support real-world sustainability and community initiatives. I helped clarify the impact of workshops and assessed volunteer satisfaction by translating quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights. My work supported better programme planning, improved volunteer experience, and clearer decision-making, using data to drive meaningful change.

Thank you for this experience and mentorship!
